Bamboo shoots

40 g

Knorr Chicken Powder

0.5 tbs

Sesame oil

1 tsp

Spring onions, chopped

30 g

Salt

1 tsp

White pepper

1 tsp

Directions

  1. Stir-frying: Set a wok in medium heat. Add 1 tbs of cooking oil and add in chicken.

  2. Seasoned with pepper and salt, cook for another 1 minute.

  3. Add in shiitake mushrooms, and spring onion. Sauté until cooked thoroughly

  4. Add Knorr Concentrated Chicken Liquid Seasoning with the sautéed mixture. Mix well.

  5. Wonton filling preparation: Use your fingers to gently thin out the ends of awonton wrapper so that the wrapper is slightly larger and thinner.

  6. Place a tablespoon of filling (cooked mixture) in the middle of the wrapper. To make a Queen Style, fold the wrapper to make a triangle, then apply some water to the edge of the wrapper to seal it. To make a Sailor’s Hat, place the filling in the center and fold the edges of the wrapper together to create a cylinder. Bind the two opposite ends together and press firmly to seal the dumpling.

  7. Continue this process until either the filling or wrappers run out.

  8. Boiling wonton: Boil water and add ½ tbs of Knorr Chicken Powder.

  9. Add wontons and boil them until they float to the surface, about 3–5 minutes.

  10. Keep the wontons moving so they don’t stick together.

  11. Add your choice of ingredients, including bamboo shoots, mushrooms and spring onions. Add sesame oil, salt, and pepper.

  12. Presentation: Transfer wonton dumpling soup into a serving bowl. This simple soup recipe is easy to make and works as a satisfying appetizer. As a summary, check out the step-by-step video on how to make a wonton dumpling soup.
